Project energy engineering intern
We are looking for a highly motivated and driven intern to help us support Urbio's growing user-base (energy providers, district heating developers and energy consulting firms) in their activities such as...
- the set up digital twins for territories and networks
- the design of district heating networks
- the implementation of municipal heating planning
Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Apply Urbio's software to real projects in Europe
- Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting to customers in their energy transition challenges
- Handle tasks such as energy data setting up, technical reporting and software integrations
- Perform data analyses for improving Urbio's energy models
- Contribute to product documentation focusing on AI technology and applications
You will collaborate closely with both the operations and development teams to ensure the success of Urbio’s users. With guidance from our experienced engineering team, this internship offers a unique opportunity to develop your technical expertise, your communication and project management skills, and your knowledge of software-driven solutions for energy companies.
Qualifications
For this position you need to...
- study engineering (Bachelor or Master student)
- have knowledge about energy and buildings
- have programming experience (ideally in Python)
- have some basic experience in GIS tools
- speak English (German or French is a plus)
In your daily work, you are not afraid to step out of your comfort zone and like working both independently and in a team.

Location & time
- Our team is spread across Switzerland. Depending on your location, we meet 2+days per week in our Sion office or co-working spaces in Zürich & Lausanne.
- We are looking for someone to onboard in fall 2025 and able to dedicate at least 80% of their time for a period of min. 6 months
