We’re looking for an ambitious, commercially driven professional to lead the growth and expansion of our marketplace in Germany.

This is a key role focused on building market presence, driving adoption, developing strategic partnerships, and shaping our local go-to-market strategy in one of Europe’s most important renewable energy markets.

Position: Market Expansion Manager – Germany (DACH)

🎯What You’ll Be Doing

  • Marketplace Expansion: Develop and execute a comprehensive go-to-market strategy to drive the expansion and adoption of the sun.store marketplace in Germany.
  • Product Localization: Analyze local market needs and user feedback to adapt the sun.store platform (features, UX, commercial terms) specifically for the German market.
  • Supply Side Development: Actively source and onboard local suppliers, distributors, and manufacturers in the DACH region to expand the product offering on the platform.
  • Marketing & Brand Awareness: Design and oversee dedicated, localized marketing campaigns. Collaborate with the marketing team to improve local SEO, content strategy, and overall brand visibility in Germany.
  • Industry Representation: Act as the primary market expert and brand ambassador, representing sun.store at industry conferences, trade fairs, expert panels, webinars, and in local press/media.
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor and analyze local market trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities and inform strategic decisions.
  • Key Account Support: Provide strategic support to the central sales team in managing relationships and negotiations with key accounts (large enterprise clients) in the German market.

🔎 What We’re Looking For

  • Native or near-native proficiency in German (C2) is mandatory, along with proficiency in English at a business level (written and spoken).
  • Readiness to work in a hybrid model from our office in Warsaw, Poland.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in market development, e-commerce/marketplace management, or strategic marketing, ideally with a focus on the German market.
  • Deep understanding of marketplace dynamics (balancing supply and demand) and digital platforms.
  • Experience in fast-paced, high-growth companies, ideally combined with trading/commercial companies or B2B marketplaces.
  • Knowledge of the renewable energy sector, specifically photovoltaics (PV), is a strong asset.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate market data into actionable business and product insights.
  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills, with experience representing a company in the media or at industry events.
  • Willingness to travel to Germany for industry events, conferences, and key partner meetings.
