    Backed by €22M in funding, we have 100+ sites under development in France, and across multiple European markets we've screened 1,500+ sites and built a development pipeline of over 1+ GWh of BESS. We're now bringing that proven model to Germany 🇩🇪 , and looking for the person to build and lead it !

    The Role

    Be Decade's local technical owner and the Country Manager's delivery partner.

    You'll drive the development workstream — grid connection, permitting, land and buildability — to RTB across a multi-site portfolio, then lead deployment: EPC, civil works, construction, commissioning and O&M through to hand-over. We already have a portfolio of BESS projects to be developed, and EV-charging cases are getting established.

    The wider team includes a VP International who brings broad experience across EV charging, BESS development and working in an international context, and who is engaged on both a strategic and an operational level. We're a prestige-free, flat organisation — one where the team, and the different capabilities each person brings, are what make us succeed.

    You'll work efficiently by leveraging the central team's sourcing capabilities, standardised design and frameworks, while actively managing local partners and consultants — acting as technical lead throughout the project lifecycle.

    You'll have the strong backing of our teams in France and will genuinely feel part of one integrated company working toward a single mission: decarbonizing the transport sector across Europe.

    What you'll do

  • Own the technical path to grid connection: connection strategy, single-line diagrams, layouts and the DSO application package.
  • Manage the local grid-consultant partner: ensure complete and compliant submissions (e.g. VDE-AR-N 4110).
  • Drive permitting, buildability and land-interface workstreams; flag risks early.
  • As projects reach RTB: manage contractors and BOP through construction to COD, oversee commissioning and hand-over.
  • Work closely with our VP Product to help shape Decade's technical offering for the German market, feeding back learnings from the field.
  • Be out on site regularly with the Country Manager and the customer.

    • What you'll bring

  • A hands-on delivery track record in BESS, EV charging, renewables or grid/infrastructure — from development into build
  • A solid engineering foundation in grid connection and electrical/infrastructure
  • Comfortable owning many projects in parallel: switching between development detail and execution oversight
  • Pragmatic, resourceful and bold: able to get things moving where the rules aren't yet fully clear
  • Fluent German and professional English.
    • Nice to have: Familiarity with VDE-AR-N 4110, BTM/FTM or split metering; EPC/owner's-engineer experience; portfolio-scale DSO engagement.
