    Decade Energy is electrifying Europe's logistics and transport infrastructure — turning depots into flexible grid assets through battery storage (BESS), and fast-following into charging hubs for heavy electric trucks.

    Decade means DECArbonising DEpots — and we're a leader in our segment.

    Backed by €22M in funding, we have 100+ sites under development in France, and across multiple European markets we've screened 1,500+ sites and built a development pipeline of over 1+ GWh of BESS. We're now bringing that proven model to Germany 🇩🇪 , and looking for the person to build and lead it !

    The Role

    Take full ownership of the German market and build Decade's presence on the ground.

    Actively work with existing and new customers. You'll drive a portfolio of logistics-depot BESS projects from origination through permitting and grid connection to Ready-to-Build (RTB), and lay the foundations for construction, operations and continued growth. You'll also own the full cycle for heavy e-truck charging, bringing the complete Decade model to Germany.

    You are the face of Decade in Germany, the person customers, partners and authorities will come to know as Decade Energy locally, and the one who owns the market's success end to end.

    You'll report into a VP International who brings broad experience across EV charging, BESS development and working in an international context, and who will support you on both a strategic and an operational level. We're a prestige-free, flat organisation, one where the team, and the different capabilities each person brings, are what make us succeed.

    While you'll be building Germany on the ground, you won't be doing it alone. You'll have the strong backing of our teams in France, and will genuinely feel part of one integrated company working toward a single mission: decarbonizing the transport sector across Europe.

    This is an entrepreneurial, hands-on, build-it-from-scratch role with real ownership and visible impact — a highly stimulating opportunity for someone who wants to drive and grow a leading company in the niche, and build outstanding experience along the way.

    What you'll do

  • Own the German market end-to-end and be Decade's local face and voice — building the brand, the relationships and the business that put Decade Energy on the map in Germany.
  • Grow the business and team, and drive the portfolio from origination to RTB and into construction/operations, across many sites in parallel.
  • Grow the customer base among logistics property owners and transport operators, and establish offtake/PPA arrangements with the central Energy Markets team.
  • Build and grow Decade's brand locally — ensuring our marketing and communications support the business and our positioning in the German market.
  • Lead engagement with DSOs/TSOs, regulators and local authorities; actively manage and develop selected local partners and consultants (grid, legal, EPC).
  • Work closely with our VP Product to shape and develop Decade's offering for the German market, feeding back local insight from customers and the field.
  • Build and lead the local team over time, partnering closely with the Infrastructure/Development Lead on delivery.
  • Partner with central finance to make each project financeable, and drive due diligence on sites and projects.

    • What you'll bring

  • An entrepreneurial builder with a strong ownership mindset and a track record of getting projects or businesses off the ground.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in energy infrastructure, renewables or a related capital-project field.
  • Commercial instinct: winning customers, structuring deals, thinking in business cases.
  • A strong network in Germany or the proven ability to build one fast.
  • Fluent German and professio
  • nal English.
    • Nice to have: BESS, EV charging or transport-electrification experience; existing DSO/authority relationships; experience standing up a local entity or team.
